June 12: Kogi SDP calls for the electoral amendment of the constitution

The Kogi State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Muktar Atimah has called on the indigenes of the state to press for the electoral amendment of our constitution to be able to enhance a credible electoral process in the country.
The state chairman who stated this while speaking with journalist on the importance of June 12 Democracy Day, said “our party was the beneficial of that process which is been adjudged as the freest election in the political history of the country.
He noted that there was need for Nigerians to imbibe that system if we are to remain as one indivisible entity.
His words, “Using our state as an example the tatata slogan have hindered our people in political participation because of the do or die attitude of the state government on electoral process
“It is on record that our party have been the most victimized since the political development of the country. Our party is ready to take over kogi state in the next election if only they can allow the electoral amendment.
