The saying that the good works of a man can never be hidden but would be heard abroad seem to have come to the fore with the honour done to the Founder/Executive Director, Rotshade Helplinks Initiative, (Dr.) Bolufemi Rotimi Olarenwaju, by the African Union.
The Ijumu LGA born philanthropist received an award for his humanitarian services in Nigeria.
The award coming at a time when men are said to be no longer their brothers keeper, follows the philanthropic works of (Dr) Bolufemi Rotimi in view of his humanitarian services.
That Marrackech, City in Morocco stood still for (Dr.) Bolufemi Rotimi Olarenwaju is an understatement, following his invitation for an award as African Union Role Model in Nigeria.
The award which preceded a 3 day program just ended today, Sunday, 21st April 2019 in Marrakech Morocco.
A man who derives joy putting smiles on the faces of less privilege and the have not, (Dr) Bolufemi Rotimi had the privilege to have with in to receive the presence, the Nigerian Minister for Environment who was on ground to applaud his rare accomplishments in making many self reliant.
Also present at the occasion was the Nigerian Ambassador in Morocco. (Dr) Bolufemi Rotimi, a shining star who believes by making others stars, it would help illuminate the society, made Nigeria proud when his long list rich citation of humanitarian services was read was read at the ceremony.
Some of his notable accomplishments which earned him the African Union Role Model in Nigeria according to the organization was that in 2017; (Dr) Bolufemi Rotimi empowered one hundred youths with motor cycles.
In the same year, he gave out one hundred DSTV decoders for youths to establish video viewing centres.
Similarly, (Dr) Bolufemi Rotimi gave out grinding machines to women and assisted greatly less privilege, the widows and uncountable aged women in the society.
Fired with a passion to live a mark in the lives of people, irrespective of tribe and religion, in 2018, (Dr) Bolufemi Rotimi also gave out three hundred Motor cycles to equally empower another set of youths.
He was a father to the orphans as he empowered several orphanage homes in Nigeria.
He also assisted greatly in the payment of hospital bills to the tune of N4million for children in several children Ward in General Hospitals.
Still in 2018, Dr Bolufemi Rotimi empowered one hundred women by given them N50,000 as grant to enable them start up small scale businesses.
It was in view of these gestures and several others too numerous to mention the African Union, singled him out from amongst a society many have but choose to place emphasis on self, to honour him with the award of the African Union Role Model for Nigeria at a colourful occasion that had the who is who in Morocco and Nigeria in attendance.
For (Dr.) Bolufemi Rotimi, life makes meaning when it is lived for others, and for him he is only in custody of what others need to be happy, little wonder he is always concern about making positive impact.
According to Dr Bolufemi Rotimi, ” the Destiny of our great nation Nigeria is in our hands as Youth. My prayer always is for God to open our eyes to see the hidden treasures and riches of Nigeria and the world at large, and He will give us knowledge to do great exploit.
The African Union award for (Dr) Bolufemi, was really a very big event. For him humanitarian services is a part of his life, expressed appreciation for the huge success of the program, says the glory goes to God for the success.
(Dr) Bolufemi used the occasion to thank every meaningful Kogi indigene for the support in getting the recognition, through his services thanked everyone for their prayers and for believing in him always.
