Hajia Zuwera Gambo’s Birthday, Honourable Commissioner, Women Affairs And Social Development ; A Coincidence Of Good Leadership And Followership In Borno State.
Today’s birthday commemoration of Hajia Zuwera Gambo,the current Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs,And Social Development in Borno State is not only to mark the occassion,but a celebration of an achiever per excellence in all ramifications.
This is also a coincidence with when the great people of Borno State, is witnessing an outstanding leadership with distinct disposition of Governor Babagana Umar Zulum,a Professor and academician of high repute,with a strong desire to extricate glaring human disequilibrium in governance, not only in Borno State,but entire nation at large.
Mrs Zuwera Gambo less than one year as a political office holder under the able leadership of the most vibrant administration,had already made a resounding mark in her areas of responsibility.
A grassroot political mobiliser and national figure, administrator and technocrat,a feat she combined for over a decade both in the services of her state,Borno as well as federal level.
She was deeply involved in the running of day today of successive adminstration in Borno and formed part of the success story of both the immediate past and the current administration in the state.
As a Commissioner in charge of Women Affairs and social development in the current state executive council,the welfare of women folk and by extension the welfare of generalty of the people of the state in her programs and policies thrust cannot be overemphasized.
A state ravaged by Boko Haram insurgents in the last few years,her courage to protect and sustain the interest of war ravaged communities in the state, and those in the internally displaced person’s (IDP) and their camps created by both the state and federal government, had being a major milestone few months into the office.
Aside,ensuring near equal opportunities for women in all facets of both goverrment and non govermental programs of the state and it’s policies,she attracted unquantifiable progress in the development of social services to the people with the political will of the workaholic and untiring strides of the state Governor,Alhaji, Professor Babagana Umar Zulum.
This has resulted in the saying of the people of her community and by extension the entire Borno State, of a proverbial nomenclature of ‘A Woman That Is Preferable To A Man ‘ and the general impression and assessment of the current administration by the people,as a round peg in a round hole and partners in the success program of adminstration of Alhaji Babagana Umar Zulum of Borno state.
Her appointement into the state executive council was an opportunity to deploy her wealth of experience into the developement of not only at national level,but her dear state.
As you mark additional year in the services of both your mother and father land,I pray that Almighty God will protect from the hands of your enemies,insurgency ravaging the state and other needless eventualities..
