A group known as Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello (GYAB) Movement has called on the elders, traditional rulers and opinion leaders from Kogi State to wade into the crisis between Judiciary and kogi state government by prevailing on the two sides to shift ground.

The chairman of the group, Alhaji Ibrahim Raji and Secretary General Comrade Onusi Abdullateef at a Press Conference held in Lokoja on Monday which copy was made available to journalists said both party has to come together in the interest of the suffering workers of Judiciary who have not taken salary in an upward of over seven months.

The statement noted that the joy in the whole crisis is the fact that the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello recently stated that the said accumulated salaries of the the judiciary workers was intact, and calls for speedy resolution of the crisis.

While thanking the state government and the leadership of judiciary for the maturity displayed so far, the group however advised that there should be the spirit of give and take in the true spirit of collective bargaining.

They however cautioned that the crisis was capable of undermining the gains recorded so far by the administration in the areas of security of lives and property, comprehensive healthcare service and all other infrastructural development going on across the state.

‘The Governor as the father of the state must be willing to make some sacrifice, while the leadership of the judiciary must also be ready to make some concession.

“We equally call on all elders traditional rulers and opinion leaders from Kogi State to wade into the matter by prevailing on the two sides to shift ground.

“As we all know that no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of rancour and discordant tones.

The group maintained that they will continue to take steps to ensure that the problem is urgently brought to a peaceful end and timely too, where there will not any victor or vanguish .
