Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello yesterday, Received his former lecturers at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in his office at the Lugard House, Lokoja.
The three lecturers; Prof.Usman Abubakar, Dr Benjamin Awen and Dr Ojo Ohiovi in their separate remarks described Gov Bello as a thoroughbred young man who always shows zeal and determination in all his endeavours.
Prof Usman said Governor Yahaya Bello is a proud alumnus of the university who has distinguished himself as a good product of the institution.
The university dons urged the governor to remain focus and continue to deliver good governance to the people of Kogi State noting that the institution was proud of his leadership as the youngest governor in the country. They prayed to God whom they said elected the Governor to continue to grant him more electoral success and good health.
Gov Bello thanked the visiting lecturers for the courtesy call while assuring them of purposeful leadership to the people of Kogi State. He said without their academic and fatherly contributions to his development, he wouldn’t have been where he is today as Governor.
