The Kogi Central Think Tank Forum, Lokoja, has called on the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate, in the last Kogi State Governorship election, Alhaji Yakubu Muritala Ajaka, to put behind the various verdicts against him by the Supreme Court and join hands with Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo to move Kogi State to the next positive level.
The Chairman Dr Haroun Opotu Yussuff, and the Secretary Alhaji Mohammed Baba Sadiq of the forum in a joint press statement issued on Thursday, state that arising from its monthly meeting.
The forum noted that the rapid response by governor to seriously condemn the altercation towards Alhaji Muri Ajaka, the candidates of SDP, marks the good intention of his preparedness to encourage peace and inclusivity in the APC government in Kogi State.
“The Forum registered its congratulations to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State on his well deserved victory from the verdict of Supreme Court, Abuja based on the Gubernatorial elections held last year for Kogi State.
“This victory has clearly paved the way for him to settle down to do more for the people of Kogi State as there would be no more distractions.
” His Excellency started the governance of Kogi State immediately after the November 2023 elections on giant strides, an indication that the desired dividends of democracy will be achieved now that the political coast is cleared by the Supreme Court.
