One of the major political party in Kogi Central Senatorial District, the Social Democratic Party SDP, has surrendered it political structure to Gov. Yahaya Bello.

The SDP also has endorsed the Senatorial District Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Engr. Abubakar Ohere, vowed to deliver all the votes garnered in 2019 for Natasha Akpoti when she contested as the Party’s Senatorial Candidate.

The SDP in Kogi Central made the disclosure to surrender it structure when it paid a visit to the Candidate of the APC, Engr. Abubakar Ohere today in Okene, passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of Gov. Yahaya Bello.

The SDP who spoke on behalf of the SDP, Zubair Ibrahim – Zonal Chairman, vowed to use it network and structure as it did in 2019 to work for the APC, pointing out that they were behind the huge success of the SDP in the area during the last general election in 2019.

The SDP members promised to generate the same vote it garnered for the SDP in 2019 for the APC, pointing out that it structure is still intact as it didn’t move with the PDP Senatorial District Candidate.

The SDP appreciated Gov. Bello for all his efforts, praised him for the infrastructure development of Kogi Central, as well as the contributions of Engr Ohere to the development, pointing out that it will repeat same feat for the APC in 2023.

The SDP said with all Gov. Bello has done in Kogi Central and the capability shown by Engr Ohere, the Party has no choice but to surrender it structure to Gov. Bello and to work for all the APC candidates in Kogi Central.

According to the SDP spokesman, said they refused to move to the PDP, pointing out that having seen where the State was before the advent of the PDP, explained that it will be suicidal to return to the PDP and her vomit, described APC as a party that means well for the Senatorial District.

The SDP said if they cannot make progress, a forward movement that would help the people of the Central, stressed that it was better to maintain there stand with the APC rather than to go back to the vomit of the PDP.

The SDP said the Party has unanimously endorsed, accommodate and embraced Gov. Bello and all the APC candidates in the forthcoming February General Election in Kogi Central.

The SDP delegation that was in attendance to pass confidence vote on Gov. Bello as well embrace the APC candidates in the Central include the h Zonal Chairman, all the Local Government Chairmen, twelve Chairman of Chairmen twenty two Women Leaders and twenty three Elders of the Party.

The names of some of the delegation are Zubair Ibrahim – Zonal Chairman, Abdullahi Shaibu, Siyaka Abdulaziz, Jatto Martins, Isah Mohammed and Sanni Musa amongst others.
