THE Kogi State Police Command has called on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to focus on their campaigns and live the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Busari out of their politics.
The Command also urged members of public for their continued support and cooperation as it is determine to provide a conducive atmosphere and level playing ground for violence free Governorship elections comes November 16.
Reacting to the alligations labeled against the command by the party, the Police Public Relation Officer of the command, Mr. William Ayah in a press statement issued on Wednesday said the statements issued by the People Democratic Party (PDP) Local Government Chapter against the personality of a highly detribalized and professional Officer, CP Hakeem A. Busari, Commissioner of Police, was not only the figment of the imagination of the authored, but totally false, malicious, baseless and highly mischievous aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the Commissioner of Police as well as the image of the entire Police Force in Kogi State.
His words, ‘The Command urge the PDP to focus on their campaigns and live the Commissioner of Police out of their politics. The Police will continue to remains committed in discharging it constitutional mandate professionally by securing the integrity of the entire electoral process.
“The Commissioner of Police has urged all peace loving citizens of Kogi State and the country at large to discountenance such mischievous information but gravitate towards issues that unite the State rather than those that divide us.
“The Command urges members of public for their continued support and cooperation as it is determine to provide a conducive atmosphere and level playing ground for violence free Governorship elections comes November 16.
