The Federal Polytechnic Idah in Kogi state has received books worth over 45 million naira donated by Book Aid International and Book 2 Africa both in United Kingdom a Non- governmental organization.
The Rector, Dr. Yahaya Usman represented by Associate Professor. M.I Yusuf, the Deputy Rector Academics, after inspection of the books at the institution’s library, thanked the organization on behalf of the Management for selecting the polytechnic as one of the beneficiaries in North Central , Nigeria.
Speaking futher, he noted that the books donated will further repositioned the institution’s Central Library to meet any accreditation standards and Urged other organizations to follow the paths of Book Aid International and Book 2 Africa.
The polytechnic Librarian, Mr Bitrus Bature pointed that the books donated by Book Aid International would be beneficial to the Federal Polytechnic Idah and Polytechnic primary and Secondary schools while those donated by Book 2 Africa are books for Management and Business .
Present at the inspection of the books at the Central Library were the Deans of school of Business Studies, Environmental Studies, Technology, Engineering and other senior staff of the Polytechnic Library.
