Dr. Y.B. Usman calls on the Muslim Faithfuls to embrace the profound lessons of sacrifice, love, and compassion that the festival embodies.
Eid Kabir, commemorating the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah, is a time of reflection and gratitude.
He emphasizes that the essence of the celebration goes beyond the ritual of the Ram sacrifice. It is a reminder of the virtues of selflessness, dedication, and the importance of looking out for one another.
The Rector noted the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need, particularly during these challenging times. He urged the Polytechnic communities to come together to support the less fortunate, ensuring that everyone can partake in the joy and blessings of the session.
He also encouraged the faithfuls to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim and apply them in their daily lives. By embracing the values of sacrifice, patience, and unwavering faith as together they can build and take the Polytechnic and the nation to a greater height .
The erudite scholar wishes all Muslims a blessed and joyous Eid Kabir. He hopes that the celebrations will be filled with peace, happiness, and the spirit of togetherness, he concluded.
