THE Ohinoyi of Ebiraland Dr Ado Ibrahim has charged Nigerians that they should always bear in mind that one day they would give account of their deed while on earth.
Dr Ibrahim who gave the charge on Friday in Okene, Okene local government area of Kogi state, during the forty days fidau prayer for the Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Nasiru Ajanah who death on 28th June, 2020, also cautioned people to remember that whatever they do today shall remain a history in their life, appealing that people should endeavor to do good things at all time.
The Monarch who was represented by the Asema of Uka, Alhaji Momoh Isah, described the late jurist as a man who have used his position to unified the people of the state and Nigeria at large, urging every Ebira sons and daughters who are occupying public offices both at local, state and federal levels to always be a good ambassador of the land.
In his remark, the governor of the state Alhaji Yahaya Bello who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Asuku, averred that death is inevitable, saying what people do with their lives while on earth matter most in the life hereafter.
“Therefore it is incumbent to all humans to live a life worthy of emulation in order to enjoy God favor during the day of resurrection” he said.
He added that “there is no doubt that the late Chief Judge was able to use his position for the betterment of the judiciary and the Kogi state”
Also in his remark, the Acting Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Henry Olusiyi described the late Chief Judge as a judicial juggernaut, a courageous judge and a man of fine attributes who has never used his position to harm any one.
“We are here today not to mourn as it were, but to thank God for a life well spent. We prayed that the legacy he left behind in the judiciary will be maintained and surpassed because where he is now is his greatest wish” the Acting CJ said.
He thank the state governor for identifying with the judiciary since the sad event happened forty days ago.
