The former Governor of Kogi State, Chief Clarence Olafemi has congratulated the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Kogi State chapter for successful state Congress.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, the chieftain of the party noted that the outcome of the Congress was an indication that PDP is fully ready to take over Lugard House 2019.
His words, “congratulate the entire PDP family at the National headquarter of the party, the Kogi State Caucus and the entire PDP family at all levels in the state for a very successful, free, fair , transparent and credible state congress to elect their state exco in a peaceful manner.
“I also congratulate the entire newly elected Executives of the party for emerging as those that will paddle our affair as a party in Kogi state particularly the process leading to a new government in Kogi come Novermber 2019 Governorship election in the state.
“I also congratulate and thank the team sent by the National headquarter of the party led by Prof Ayu for a job well done particularly the pain they took in ensuring that all the processes were free, fair and transparent.
“It is my hope and wish that the remaining processes leading to the selection of our flag bearer will be in the same way to ensure a united front in the task ahead of us in our effort to take back government of the state.
