Chairman Presidential Campaign Council PCC,Atiku for President in Kogi for 2019,Chief Clarence Olatunde Olafemi has described as unfounded, malicious and totally mischievous the alleged embezzlement of campaign funds meant for Presidential election in Kogi state by the council

The Chairman PCC made this clarification in a statement made available to newsmen, threatened to institute a legal action on anybody or institutions who indulged in peddling such blatant lies,no matter how highly placed is an individual or group of individuals involved in such uncivilized acts

The campaign council chairman said non of the sub committee members had access to any other funds, apart from the one meant for the senatorial districts in Kogi, and disbursed accordingly in line with the templates attached to it from the headquarters, while the three senators were mandated to provide for the security committee

He wondered were the speculations and insinuation of diversion and embezzlement of campaign funds emanated from, soon after the election,to bring to disrepute the highly placed and carefully selected members of the committee

The former Ag Kogi governor, said as chairman of the PCC,his integrity was not in doubt, from his days as Speaker of the state House of Assembly and later the state governor, were his transparent conduct was tested and proven beyond reasonable doubt

” I was speaker of the State Assembly for four years, and Ag governor of the state and never heard issues with public funds with my colleague in the house, in fact as the Governor, l left over 400 million naira in the account of the state, after assessing alot of funds while in government”

” What was accrued to the committee during my stint was only 24 million and was not even enough for the logistics,as individuals within the PDP have to support the party to run its programs during the 2019 Presidential Campaign in the three senatorial districts

The chairman of the campaign exonerated the members as a group and individual not to have had any thing whatsoever with the finances meant for the 2019 election, as been peddled by some disgruntled individuals and the government of Kogi state

The reaction of the PCC has further cleared the air on the face saving and deliberate attempt by Kogi state government to shift the blame pole, to PDP and its members

He said it is uncultured for those categories of individuals and group peddling such a fabricated allegations, merely to dent the hard built image over the years both in the public and private capacity

PCC Chairman urged the general public to disregard such delicate and premeditated rumour to decapitate the already certified public image of the committee and its members and by extension as an individual
