As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) releases the elections timetable for the 2027 general elections, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares for its party primaries for various positions, a groundswell of support is building for Chief Olugbemi Femi Michael, a veteran journalist, publisher, seasoned politician, and respected community leader, to be given the party’s ticket for the Kabba/Bunu State Constituency.

With his proven track record of service, leadership acumen, and deep understanding of the constituency’s needs, Chief Michael is widely regarded as the best candidate to take the party to victory and drive development in the area.

A prominent son and High Chief in Kabba district of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Chief Michael has consistently demonstrated a deep sense of duty to his community, and his bid for the APC ticket is driven by a desire to serve and contribute to the growth and prosperity of Kogi State.

His leadership style, built on integrity, transparency, and a commitment to democratic values, has earned him the respect and admiration of the people.

One of the key strengths of Chief Michael’s candidacy is his intimate knowledge of the constituency’s challenges and opportunities, being educated, exposed, bold, and competent to provide the needed leadership for the constituency.

A humane personality who believes in decorum when handling sensitive issues, Chief Olugbemi Femi Michael joined the party in 2015. With his robust experience and legislative knowledge, when he served as Chief Press Secretary to the 12th Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly from 2017 to 2023, he is better suited for the position.

As a native of the area, he has a unique grasp of the issues affecting the people and a strong network of relationships that could be leveraged to drive development.

His vision for the constituency includes qualitative and effective representation, promoting economic growth, improving education and healthcare, enhancing infrastructure development, and empowering youth and women.

The Kabba/Bunu constituency is crying out for a leader who can bring people together, foster unity, and drive development. Chief Michael’s candidacy offers the best hope for the people, and APC should be wise to give him the ticket. By selecting him, the party can demonstrate its commitment to rewarding merit and giving opportunities to deserving candidates.

In a statement, Hon. Abdulganiyu Abdullahi, National Coordinator of White Lion Family and Coordinator of Kogi West and North Central Advocacy for Development, recently threw his weight behind Chief Michael, praising him as the right leader to take their people to the promised land. “Chief Olugbemi Femi Michael is the best candidate for the job, and we are committed to mobilizing support for him,” Abdullahi said.

As APC prepares for the party primaries to unveil its candidates for the 2027 elections, it’s time for the party to choose a winner. Chief Olugbemi Femi Michael is the man for the job, and it’s time for APC to give him the ticket.

We hereby call on party leaders, stakeholders, and members to consider merit and do away with mediocrity by electing sound minds with the right techniques to restore the lost glory of the most vibrant constituency in Kogi State.
