SENATOR Smart Adeyemi has described the emergence of Governor Yahaya Bello as the APC flag bearer for the November 16 governorship election as a masterstroke.

The senator spoke in Lokoja after Governor Abubakar Badaru election panel declared Bello as winner of primary.

Adeyemi said the glitz and buzz the governor emergence elicited around the state capital is a pointer that he his well accepted by the people and the best option for the party.

He said it was not surprising Bello emerged with such hugh differences amidst other 9 aspirants, said the governor has taken the party and the state to an enviable height.

“Governor Yahaya Bello will win the general governorship elections in the same manner he wins the primary.

“Wining elections is not an internet affairs but acceptability by the people based on convictions through stakeholders across the political entity.

“Governor Bello is a man of covenant from God,  such people will not be confronted by men with mere wisdom.

“Winning the November poll has become simpler with the governor holding the flag of the party in view of his sterling first term performance.”

Adeyemi however urged other aspirants to accept the convincing decision of the delegates who voted immensely for Bello, and rally round for the general election, stressing that they should take the outcome in spirit of sportsmanship.

Also speaking, Speaker of kogi state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Matthew Kolawole said it is a well deserved victory for Governor Yahaya Bello considering his monumental contributions in repositioning the party in the state in the last four years.

He noted that his outstanding victory has shown clearly that the Governor is in charge of the party in the state, urging other aspirants to support the Governor to move the state to another level of development.

He said the APC is a one big family that will work together to return the Governor for a second term in office.

He appealed to the electorates in the state to continue to have faith in the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC led administration in both the state and national level to vote for the APC come November 16 Governorship Election in Kogi State.

He noted that issues of salaries has since become a thing of the past, stressing that it is a good news to hear that August salary has been paid since yesterday.

Another governorship aspirant of the party, Blessing Ekele, in a press statement said the election was free and fairs and interdem with the party guidelines in such an outing, stressing that the emergence of the incumbent governor that have kept people spell bound with his positive achievements all this while is a square peg in a square hole.

The woman stated that as a consistent party loyal member, and as someone who have been following the activities of governor Bello since the inception of his administration, he has shown that he remains detribalised person who meant well for the people of the state.

“Governor Yahaya Bello remains the star of the moment that can address the teething challenges bedevilling the state whose some former leaders have bastardized with unpopular policies that had bred all kind of sentiments, which today are affecting the good people of the state.

“What this man of history needs now is our supports, unflishing loyalty and undiluted advice that can assist him to take the state out of the woods.

“In this vein, I and my political team ,family have resolved to stand by him in his attempts to find solution to cropping issues that will place the state in the committee of great states in the country”, she expressed in a statement.
