Group Commend Kwara Govt For Keeping To Campaign Promises.

All Progressives Congress (APC) administration in Kwara state is determined to implement projects aimed at promoting even development of all parts of the state.
In a statement by a sociopolitical organization concerned with promoting good governance and development, Kwara People’s Network, the organization said that the government is keeping to its campaign promises.
The statement signed by the state coordinator and publicity secretary of the group, Comrade Busayo David and Abdulazeez Lukman, respectively, said that, “today we can boldly say that narrative has changed with emergence of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq because he has been keeping to his promises made during electioneering campaign since he assumed office.
“Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has convinced the populace and the opposition that good governance is achievable in Kwara state. The governor has taken series of laudable action including, payment of various counterpart fund, revamping the state ministries and parastatals, infrastructural development, agriculture rejuvenating for food security, Kwara assets recovery, salary at when due, workers promotion, social intervention program, distribution of books to students, renovation of decaying structure in school and hospitals with equipment across the state, entrepreneurship promotion, security of lives and property, cabinet of young and energetic youth m, to mention but a few”.
It also said tha the political campaign strategy that heralded the new administration, O TO GE mantra, has put an end to political stagnancy in the state.
The organization, which said that the O TO GE spirit had since restored true and corrupt-free governance in the state, added that, “one will wonder why Governor AA has not borrowed money to implement projects despite huge debt inherited by him including N21billion backlog of LG gratuities from 2009 in which Governor AA has been gradually defraying since June last year
“He has increased monthly release to settle pension from N30million by previous administration to N100million. All this is not just happening without political will and sincerity of purpose by the people’s governor”.
The group also applauded Governor Abdulrazaq for displaying patriotism, accountability and transparency in his administration by making EFCC one of the key factors in his government, saying the anti-graft body has helped to gradually restore sanity and accountability in the state government with recovery of fund looted during the previous administration.
The people also said that the governor has helped in managing and stabilizing the government as well as reducing government expenses with blockage of loopholes across the MDAs.
“We encourage the governor not to look the side of distractors but to continue to deliver dividends of democracy to people of the state. We pray for your success and a renewal of wisdom and sound health to pilot affairs of the state.
