The Ebira People’s Association (EPA) has commended the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his team for the proposed establishment of Confluence University of science and technology, Osara in Kogi State
In a statement by Dr. M. A. Adeiza, President General of EPA, the group appreciated the government of Kogl state and the Governor for being foresighted and proactlve.
The statement reads in part “The proposed bill for the Establishment of Connuence University of Science and Technology, Osara is an action that Is coming at the nick of time when Ajaokuta is about to be activated.
“EPA has always agitated for the establishment of a specialized University In Kogl Central to provide the needed skilled manpower for the steel Industry, aside other social benefits.
It added that the move will not only checkmate unemployment stemmed criminality, but insecurity can be reduced to the barest minimum in the state.
“It Is our sincere appeal to all Kogi citizens especially the honourable members of the state house of Assembly to be United and cooperate with the action of the govemment of the state so that they can actualize the mantra of “DOING MORE“.
“Taking strategic decisions to harness and the endorsements God has favoured the State with will surely place Kogl as economic giant among the states In the country. ”
“We congratulate the good people of Kogl State, the Government of the State and Hls Excellency, Govemor Alh. Yahaya A. Bello for this giant stride.
“May the good Lord continue to grant our leaders the wisdom to think right and act right. The statement added.
