Emergence of Hon. Bashiru will bring prosperity to Okene LGA, says group

As kogi state government prepares for the conduct of council Election, there have been agitations for quality representation at that tier of government. Governor Yahaya Bello had last month dissolved the local government Administrators that have been in charge of the 21 Local councils in the state in last three and half years.
With the constitution of the State Independent Electoral Commission, (SIEC), expectations are high on the part of the people of the state.
Okene Local Government is not left out of this quest for good governance. A group, Okene Solidarity Forum for Good Governance, (OSFGG), has said that the emergence of Hon Bashiru Abubakar (Ozi – Abu inihaya), as Chairman of Okene LGA would bring prosperity to the council and it’s people.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Salihu Inda, described Bashiru, a graduate of Public Administration from Kogi State University Ayingba, as a true Democrat having been born into the prestigious home of Late Alhaji Abubakar popularly known as Abu Inihaya. Hon Bashiru learnt the Democratic principle of governance very early in life.
In addition, Bashiru has followed his late Father’s political antecedents, and believes in true represention of Democratic norms of lay down rules and procedures.
According to the group, Hon Bashiru Abubakar is God fearing and believes in equity, good conscience and rule of Law, saying that he is an ardent follower and believer in the new direction government of his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
They assured that Bashiru will transform and rejuvenate the internally generated revenue for economic development and prosperity of the Local government.
“Hon Bashiru Abubakar will reposition Okene local government for a better, prosperous and politically balanced local government if given the mandate.
“Hon Bashiru Abubakar will key into the Security and human capital development of the new direction government.
Speaking recently, Bashiru said his vision is to make Okene local government a place were equity, justice, fairness and rule of law reigns supreme.

Security of lives and property and youth and women Empowerment.
