
Former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has called on Nigerians to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, describing their leadership as a pathway to hope, continuity and development.
Bello made the remarks while addressing journalists during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, where he expressed gratitude to God for preserving lives to witness another festive occasion.
According to him, his message to the people of Kogi State and Nigerians generally was centred on three key areas, including hope, continuity and improved welfare for citizens.
He said President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda requires the support and cooperation of all Nigerians, stressing that nation-building is a gradual process that demands patience and courageous leadership.
“A great nation is not achieved by the twinkle of an eye. It is a marathon and it takes a courageous leader to embark on that journey,” Bello said.
The former governor noted that President Tinubu is working to renew the hope of Nigerians and urged citizens to rally behind his administration for national progress.
Speaking on Kogi State, Bello commended Governor Ododo for sustaining and consolidating on the achievements of his administration, saying the impact of governance is already visible across the state.
He urged residents to continue praying for the governor and provide him with the necessary support and enabling environment to succeed.
Bello further stated that the liberty and welfare of the people remain paramount, expressing optimism for greater progress and prosperity in the state and the country at large.
He concluded by wishing Nigerians a peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration and prayed for continued unity and development.
