In a statement issued on April 24 and signed by its Public Relations Officer, Amb. Mujahid Kode, the group described Rafiu’s invitation to the high-level gathering organised by the International Centre for Leadership and Peace Development Institute as a testament to his consistent advocacy for youth inclusion and democratic governance.
YIPI noted that Rafiu has built a reputation for championing young people’s participation in politics and decision-making processes across Nigeria, adding that the honour reflects his contributions to leadership development and nation-building.
“His invitation as Special Guest at this high-level conference is a well-deserved recognition of his impactful contributions to leadership development and nation-building,” the statement read.
The group expressed confidence that Rafiu’s presence at the conference would shape key discussions on leadership, peace building and national development, while also inspiring emerging leaders.
“At the conference, Amb. Rafiu is expected to play a significant role in shaping conversations around leadership, peacebuilding, and national development, while inspiring young leaders and stakeholders with his wealth of experience and visionary approach to inclusive governance,” YIPI stated.
It further commended the organisers for creating a platform to drive conversations on sustainable leadership and peace, describing the initiative as timely and strategic for Nigeria’s progress.
