The Kogi State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, has issued a stern warning to anyone encroaching on the land allocated for the party’s ongoing State Secretariate project.

During a scheduled site visit, he decried the extent of trespassing and the project’s abandonment, describing it as “disheartening” that a party that once dominated the state’s political landscape is still struggling to complete its headquarters.

Gambo affirmed that under his leadership the secretariate will be finished and called on the state government to instruct relevant authorities to crack down on the illegal occupants.

He announced plans to establish a technical committee that will assess the situation and provide recommendations.

“I am also appealing to party leaders—former governors, senators, and members of the House of Representatives—to come to our aid and address these anomalies,” he said.

“We are drawing the state government’s attention to these encroachments, and we will pursue anyone who has taken portions of our land to restore our rightful boundaries.”

The chairman promised that construction work will resume shortly, with a focus on delivering a fitting State Secretariate for the PDP.

He emphasized that transparency and accountability will be prioritized, signaling a break from past practices.

Gambo expressed confidence that the PDP is poised to reclaim its prominent position in Kogi politics and that the 2027 elections will showcase the party’s seriousness and resolve in the state.
