The Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has warned individuals fraudulently approaching political parties and demanding payments purportedly for Nomination Forms.
The Chairman of KOSIEC, Mamman Nda Eri, in a press statement issued on Friday noted that the commission is not collecting any money from political parties for nomination forms.
The statement read as follows:
“The attention of the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has been drawn to reports of individuals fraudulently approaching political parties and demanding payments purportedly for Nomination Forms.
“KOSIEC hereby states categorically that the Commission is NOT collecting any money from any political party for Nomination Forms or related processes. All political parties are strongly advised to disregard such demands.
“We urge the general public and political stakeholders to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudulent activities. Any suspicious approach or activity should be reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.
