Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, has approved the appointment of Dr. Habib Aliu as the new General Manager of Kogi State Environmental Protection Agency (KOSEPA).
Aliu replaces Hon Samari Abdullumalik Teina as GM of the agency.
The appointment was made known in a statement through the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade on Monday.
Also, the Governor has approved the constitution of Kogi State Climate Change Agency.
The Governor is the Chairman of the Board while the Deputy Governor is the Vice Chairman.
The Special Adviser on Climate Change to the Governor, Michael Onimisi Ajibade has been redeployed as the pioneer Director General of the State Climate Change Agency.
A climate change expert, Mrs. Alabi E. Bridget is to serve as representative of the Ministry of Environment, while Bello Ivaje Joseph, Eziekel Amana Ejija and Bar. Audu Abdulmumin Omeiza are to represent the Ministries of Finance, Transport and Justice respectively with Comrade Hamza Aliyu as representative of NGOs.
