The letter addressed to him by the Ologidi of Ogidi, Oba Rabiu Oladimeji Sule read as follows:

“We have been following your activities with great interest for some time, and we are impressed by your exemplary conduct as a respected citizen of Nigeria and a notable elite of ljumu.

“Your regular participation in community development and human empowerment has not gone unnoticed. Additionally, your generous contributions to the development projects in Okun have been truly remarkable. In all these, we are satisfied that you have sufficiently discharged yourself as the quintessential Omoluabi of Okun nation.

“We are pleased to inform you that the Ologidi-In-Council has decided to confer an honorary chieftaincy title on you in appreciation of your love for culture and commitment to promoting Nigerian values. This title is reserved for individuals of good standing and exemplary character.

However, due to the Ologidi’s sincere affection for you, we are granting you a waiver by announcing your title ahead of time as Basorun Akinjagunla of Ogidi Kingdom. This title carries with it all the rights and privileges of being an integral part of our beloved community.

“We consider this conferment a significant achievement and invite you to share this momentous occasion with your friends, associates, family members, and well-wishers. We request that you convey your acceptance or otherwise of this honor in writing within five days of receiving this notice.
