Ojomachenwu Adaidu, the mother of Salome Adaidu, has shared the details of her last moments with her daughter, who was allegedly murdered by Oluwatimileyin Ajayi.
According to The Vanguard, it was reported that Salome, 24 years old, was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and was serving at Nicon Insurance in Abuja.
Before her death, Salome had visited Ajayi at his home in the Papalana area of New Karshi, located in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Ajayi was caught on Sunday while attempting to dispose of Salome’s body.
While she was speaking recently with BBC Pidgin, Salome Adaidu’s mother said, “I called her on Saturday and asked where she was. She told me she was washing clothes. I then asked if she was washing the clothes alone. She said yes and added that the firstborn child was in the living room cleaning it.”
Salome Adaidu’s mother, Ojomachenwu Adaidu, recalled that her daughter had mentioned her plans to visit the place where she underwent her NYSC training after she finishes with the clothes she was washing.
She suspected that the incident might have occurred during that time because the same bag Salome took to the place of her NYSC training, was the same bag that was later brought to her the police on Monday.
Filled with grief, Ojomachenwu demanded justice for her daughter. She claimed Salome might have unknowingly boarded a “one-chance” vehicle, or probably someone had used voodoo on her, as she claimed Salome didn’t keep friends while she was alive.
