The ABLN Cooperative Society, via its Food Cooperative subsidiary, has commenced the distribution of food items for its subscribers who met up to the registration and daily subscription.
According to the Head of Operations, Adamu Abdulmajid, during the commissioning of the food items before distribution in Lokoja on Tuesday, she said only the subscribers who met up to the registration and daily/monthly contributions will be considered.
The Coordinator, Mallam Ibrahim, who earlier announced 2024 distribution date to commence on the 10th of December in Lokoja, further emphasized the rearrangement of the food items based on the economic fluctuations of the country.
Abdulmajid Adamu has also earlier listed the food items to be benefitted by the subscribers, said it is limited to the value attached to their subscription level.
The food items to be benefitted are;
Bags of rice, semolina, packs of spaghetti, litres of palm oil, vegetable oil, goody packs, amongst others.
Part of the beneficiaries and participants of the Cooperative, Mr. Julius Abel applauded ABLN for their tenacity despite the economic hiccups. He said that compared to the naira value of food items to the amount contributed, ABLN has met up to the value of the monies of participants.
Another participant and beneficiary, Hajia Memunat Jamiu, applauds the ABLN for their initiative, adding that they have brought ease and been part of the institutions solving the food insecurity problem of the nation.
