The news of the conferment of a honorary DOCTORATE degree to the director-general of the confederation of all APC support groups is anything but welcomed by all.
This is because Prof Mohammadu KIALANI has paid his dues both in the academia and in the political scene of the country. Prof Kailani Mohammad has shown the stuff he is made of recently when the British-American University recognised his emmence efforts and contributions to the academia in Nigeria and indeed the whole of the African continent by giving his this award.
This award indeed came at the right time when the biggest and most popular political party in the country and indeed the African continent, the All progressive Congress popularly called “APC” is looking at ways to recruit a new national chairman for the party in it’s next national convention slated for sometime this year.
This award to him at this time is significant in many respect as many see him as the man who is the most qualified for this important national assignment as chairman of the nation’s ruling party. Prof Kialani is experienced, compassionate, a disciple of the new type of politics dispensation our country urgently craved for to compliment the renewed hope mantra of our President,Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
For a man who is educated, transparent, a man of vision and tenacity of purpose who rise from obscurity through personal efforts to become one of the stars of our generation to be accorded this important recognition by a very renowned educational institution in the world is very remarkable in many respect.
The country indeed has a lot to gain from this recognition accorded one of our very own, Prof Mohammadu Kialani and this is because through hard work and a reputation built over the years of his patriotism and sincerity of purpose, he is more than ready to give back to our country that which the country has given to him. We thank the British-American University for this special recognition which will indeed spur the recipient to greater heights.
