A Birthday Bash in June.Today, 18, June 2024, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the white lion of Kogi state, the father of modern Kogi state development, as he is variously and fondly called turns 49.
Among other things, this day is fascinating and relevant to contemporary socio-political conditions in Kogi state, the home of the white lion, because it reminds us of the day a man who will lead kogites in a stride of majesty was born.
On this day was born a man whose life is its entirety reflects a largeness of vision beyond conventional leadership. A celebration on this day for Bello as a individual and for many a kogite with a clean, objective mind devoid of prejudice and/or rancour is certainly not out of place given where Providence has placed him and his role in the evolution of kogi state in prevailing scheme of affairs.

Born in Agassa town of Okene L.G.A, Yahaya Bello from an effervescent childhood showed unmistakable signs of leaderships and indeed in the last two decades, his life has been filled with achievements and controversies that would render him unique being a manager of transcendental abilities to a man of unmatched
courage and a leader with imperishable impacts.
Yahaya Bello is certainly a man whose life carries a pact with the destiny of our society. Bello has won for himself a worthy mention for his elegant sense of development and concern for the status of kogi state in the committee of states.
As far as kogi state’s development is concern, Bello has been weighed in the balance and found adequate and therefore wanted to drive the state to its manifest destiny. While it will be foolhardy to say that Bello alone holds the key to kogi greatness, a sense of history guides our conviction that the true measure of the service that he has to render us is yet unrealized unless he be allowed to exert his potential to the fullest.

the matter of kogi development Bello is demonstrably a sunshine patriot but an achiever who is always ready to stand for a long time in toil and dedication.
The vestigial element of development visible in kogi state today are but products of Bello’s leadership.
The 49th edition of Yahaya Adoza Bello birthday reminds us all of the finest moments gone past what we need to do in the present moment and the future to which we aspire. Whether celebrated with a bang or with a beep the 18, June birthday of Yahaya Bello is a moment for sober reflections on the life of the man as a boss, friend or foe, a compatriot and leader in victory and defeat and the overall impacts of this existence in the life of the people of kogi state.
This june, the picture of Bello that comes to mind is of a great man and a good man. A scion of hope, propriety and progress. A remarkable attribute of Bello as a man and politician is his persistence and of course resilience, greatness does come with responsibility.
One cannot rise in many ways a leader without being involved in its problems without being convulsed by its agonies and inspired by its causes. Bello again has been weighed and found adequate in all of these. Bello has been a subject of much malignment and mischief, slander and blackmail from the EFCC but undoubted because naturally he cannot escape the responsibility to the youth of kogi state as to all the people of kogi state.
We have an obligation to do justice by ourselves and do honour to the man whom honour is due. In as much as such is our obligation there is a fragrance of change in the air which not even the package of lies and blackmail against Bello can deprive us. Oh, you amiable citizen of kogi state what gift have you prepared for our white lion this June.
