Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, and the flag bearer of the ruling All Progressive Congress for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, House of Representatives Seat, Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole thanked God who made it possible for him to win the primary election.
wishes to humbly use this medium to appreciate God who made it possible to witness this day.
He acknowledged the purposeful leadership of the amiable and pragmatic Governor, HE, Alhaji Yahaya Bello who doubles as the leader of the party in Kogi State for providing the enabling environment to have a successful, peaceful, transparent and credible primary elections.
He specifically appreciates the State Party Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello aka Dollar and the indomitable and determined delegates who saw in him, the genuine intention and ability to truly provide the much needed qualitative representation at the national level for the Constituency and casted their votes in his favor which powered his emergence as the APC flag bearer for the Federal Constituency.
He also noted the monumental support and cooperation he enjoyed from the Executive Chairman of Ijumu, who doubles as the ALGON Chairman, Kogi State, Hon. Isah Taufiq and his counterpart in Kabba/Bunu Local governments, Hon. Moses Olorunleke and other leaders of thought in the Federal Constituency that made it possible for him to emerge.
He promised to justify the confidence reposed in him to represent the party at the poll.
He appealed to other aspirants who contested alongside with him to see themselves as the winner of the contest and pledged to carry them along in the scheme of things as the task ahead cannot be handled by only him but with their collective support and cooperation the ruling All Progressive Congress will for the first time rescue the Constituency from the People’s Democratic Party representation since 1999.
He pledged not to take for granted the opportunity given to him, assured the people that when finally elected at the early next year general elections, the Constituency will get a better deal as he will bring to bear his wealth of experience and connections to lobby more federal presence in terms of projects, employments, youths and women empowerments, human capital developments and infrastructure developments to the area.
