The Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Tuesday inaugurated the Kogi State CARES Steering Committee.
He was represented by the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr Mrs Ayoade Folashade Arike.
The CARES program focuses on livelihood support, MSMEs and agricultural intervention grants.
The responsibility of the committee is to provide oversight and policy guidance to the program.
The inaugurated committee members comprises as follows;
1. Mukadam Idris Asiru Asiwaju, Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, – Chairman
2. Hon. David Apeh, Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture – Member
3. Hon Idris Musa, Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports – Member
4. Hon. Gabriel Olofu, Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry – Member
5. Hon. Daniel Oneil Ejigbo, Honourable Commissioner for Rural Development – Member
6. Hajia Fatima Kabir Buba, Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development – Member
7. Chief Victor Adewale Omafaiye, Honourable Commissioner for Environment – Member
8. Prince Abdulkareem Onyekehi Suleiman, Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects, Focal Person, Social Investments Program – Member
9. Hon. Raphael Olorunfemi Okomoda, Board Chairman, Kogi Community and Social Development Agency – Member
10. Alh Sani Haruna Mohammmed, Head of CARES Coordinating Unit – Secretary
