In the mood of Christmas, Self Reliance Economic Advancement Programme SEAP has given food palliative to ten thousand community and less priviledge people in Kwara state to show love to them
Speaking at the distribution of food palliative to the beneficiaries in Ilorin, The Executive Programme Director for Self Reliance Economic Advancement Programme SEAP, Pastor Dr Olatunde Oladokun JP said “our intention is to show love to our members and non members, the beneficiaries are not SEAP members alone they are members of community, Christian community, Muslim community, less privileged people, is a palliative to show love to them, to appreciate them, is not that we don’t have challenges, there are Covid 19, there are ENDSARS, there are issues on the ground but we still feel that we need to give back to the society” he said
“We are targeting ten thousand people that we want to give food palliative to for Christmas and is our joy that we are being relevant to the life of these people, that in the mood of Christmas, we are able to give to people” he added
“We are not shy away from any organisation that want to partner with us in given food palliative to members and the people of the community, we are touching ten thousand people including the North and the South West”
He called on the government to work with responsible and decent grassroot organisations as a source of distributing their palliatives to the people to prevent issue of EndSARS where many shops were looted
“I believe that politics should not be everything, if we are doing the right thing there is no need for people reading meaning politically to whatever we are doing, I believe that if the government are doing the right thing at the right time, there would not be any need for anybody to be attributing any political power to it” he said.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude Mr Jacob Raphael said “actually it is uncommon in the society, we appreciate the management of SEAP we pray that the company will keep moving, God will grant all their desire, if governments can be doing this, people that need one thing or the other will benefit, it will encourage people to do what the government want from them”
Another beneficiary, Oladeji Titilayo Esther said “we really appreciate what he is doing for us I advise everybody to keep praying for him and if you have you should do more for people, according to him he said he is given about ten thousand people food palliative if ten thousand people have food for three, four, five days the poverty will reduce” she said
