112 Councillors sets to defect from APC to PDP in Cross River State

Not fewer than 112 Councillors in cross river state have concluded plans to defect to PDP from APC over what they said “unkept Digital promises and non-payment of salaries, Legislative Votes and Furniture Allowances.”
According to them, only five out of 24 months Legislative votes have been paid to Councillors since the inception of their tenure.
Recall that few month ago, Councillors who refused to defect and remained in the PDP where each given 500k by Senator Jarigbe to ameliorate their sufferings in the despotic hands of the Cross River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade who refused to pay them their entitlement because the refused to defect with him to APC
In a similar development,it was also gathered that the Council Chairmen are also aggrieved and disenchanted, yet they appear incapacitated as a second term bait is being used to keep them “loyal” so as to remain a willing conduit for the fleecing away of Local Government funds.
