The National Coordinator of National Association of Mass Movement of Better Orientation (NAMMBO), Hajiya Hauwa Bagu recently spoke with newsmen on the chances of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

You are welcome to this important interview session.
Hajiya Bagu: I thank you all for finding time to come to the headquarters of the National Mass Movement for better orientation. As you are all aware this organization is one of the major campaign organs of the women rooting for the victory of the APC Presidential candidate in the next election.You are highly welcome.
Why Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu among the many candidates jostling to occupy the Aso-Rock Villa as the President of Nigeria next year?.
The answers are not blowing in the winds. Nigeria today is looking for a leadership that has the requisite experience, the exposure, the education, the conviction, the penache, the charisma and above all the attributes to fight the symmetric and assymetric warfare if it’s citizens.Make no mistake about it, leadership is the most important resource needed by any country in need of greatness to achieve it’s fullest potentials easily.You cannot talk of the greatness of this country without talking about first the citizens patrotisim of recruiting the requisite leadership that have the driving vitality to take it there.We in the NAMMBO, have deliberately in our recruitment considerations for the type of leadership to support for the presidency of Nigeria easily zeroed in on the Jagaban as the man with the right leadership qualities needed to take us there as a nation.
But many people in the country may not agree with you in the choice you are propagating as the needed personality to make Nigeria great.
Hajia Hauwa:(cuts in).Look.I have tried on several occasions to make people understand that no nation today in this modern era jokes with the issue of it’s leadeship.Yes,we are in a political dispensation when opinions and views of individuals must be respected but I want to advise our people that we have to this time around reflect patriotically on the type of leadership we want to recruit to make our development in all it’s physicality possible.For those still not convinced that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the best man for the job as president of Nigeria come 2023, I want to say it is their right to own opinion, it is their right to vote for whom ever they want and it is a right in a democracy to vote for a bad leader.But this time around I want them to be patriotic for once, history they say is replete with examples.When we are talking of experience in leadership, a man who has governed Lagos State with all the problems associated with the state as it is formerly known and successful turned Lagos to the mega city as it is known today I can say is properly equiped to govern Nigeria successfully simply because it is an accepted fact that Lagos is mini-Nigeria.
I agree with the fact that Lagos is mini Nigeria.But is that the only factor that makes him the right man for the job?

No just to mention the experience of the man called Tinubu.What the man has above others that place him higher than others looking for that office is his deep thinking leadership transformational qualities.This man has been tested and he overcome.With this man as the President of Nigeria, he will unlock the locked potentials of our country that has seemingly militated against our progress a people.
What do you think are the main issues in the 2023 general elections?.
It is the economy above everything.We say the economy because to us once the economyic problem we have is solved then the others will be easily tackled.Tinubu is the only candidate you can see going around organising Town Halls meetings with the citizenry and most of this deliberations are about the economy.This is a man that has for long impressed many especially with his basic understanding of economic issues and this is a fact that can be checked especially with what he has said and written in times past and during the course of his electioneering campaigns about his solutions to solve the myraid of economics issues facing our country.You would agree with me that our country has tottered and on the brink of collapse and needs a leadership that from day one work towards solving the economic problems confronting our March toward self sufficiency and development.This is to remind all Nigerians that they should not be deceived as the 2023 election is not about experimenting on a leadership because it is a make or Mar election.When we talk about issues like employment,Tinubu is the only candidate we have heard or seen talk or write about the need for government to pursue full employment as a strategy for it’s citizens.He is a man that has consistently advised against the adoption of austerity measures in a period of recession.He has advised that contrary to the advices of multilateral institutions and it’s agencies,Nigeria should not be shulting down government expenditures in times of downturn because it further damages the system and the resultant effect is what we are witnessing today.Tinubu today is that leader we need at this time to properly manage our economy as he has consistently alarm us to get the sense of urgency we required to make a change in the management of our economy as a nation.He has the prescriptions to make our economy better.
Can you tell us a little about some of this prescriptions you talk about?

Yes I talked about the economy as one of the major issues of the next election.What we need without the present type of politics we play in our country is making our politics issues oriented.Go and check the politics of the Jagaban and you would find out that he is the only one that has consistently both in in his yearly organized colloquia,mentioned the need to moderately close the economy to the influx of imports to give the country a breather to organize herself to be able to produce the things our people need.This is exactly what the developed economies did when they were evolving.Remember the Tea party in America,it was the culmination of resistance by the Americans to the dumping of goods on the new world,and it marked the beginning of the American revolution.This can be replicated here when we have the right leadership that can resist some of the prescriptions of this multilateral institutions and Tinubu is that leader.
What type of President do you see Tinubu going to be differently from what we have in the past?
Tinubu is going to be a president that from day one is ready and prepared for the job.This is because he is aware that yet out of the ashes we rise and shine as we look towards the light which he represents.The light of knowledge and intellectualism that the Nigerian people are known for which illuminates our minds and reflects in the good character and prestine values we holds dear.His mission as the president of Nigeria is to reclaim our pride as a nation and to restore our values and this is a Clarion call to all voters that we should put all sentiments aside and embark on this journey with the Jagaban.This is a Clarion call because voting Tinubu would put us at the crisp of charting a new course of sustainable development out of the quagmire we have always find ourselves as a nation.Tinubu is a man blessed with an immense amount of strengths and opportunities as his vision for Nigeria is to be a place where it’s people can thrive and live their lives in dignity.A place where our workers do not labour in vain.A place where our young ones do not roam the streets looking for jobs that are not there.A place where our people are not so hungry they result to pilfering food to survive.A place where the circle of generational poverty can be broken,and in which the elderly can reap the fruits of their labors over their children.A place where people are safe,healthy and prosperous.
What are your your campaign strategies to actualize the victory of your candidate in the elections?.
We have already used our structures all over the country to embark on a door to door campaign,a strategy that has galvanize and mobilized about 20million ready voters for Tinubu/Shettima tickets.We are already in the process of organising a street to street campaign during the yuletide holidays and I can tell you confidently that a winner has already emerged and he is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
What are therefore his governance agenda?.
His governance agenda is therefore compelled to focus on areas which he could deliver his promises to the people.Social Investment, Knowledge Economy, Infrastructural and Industrial developments and Agriculture and Rural developments among others.
