The time to give listening ears to the loud voices of Youths Inclusiveness in socioeconomic developement of the country has been described as a priority that must not be compromised.
The Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Sustainable Developement Goals, Hon. Nasiru Ohiane stated this while declaring open a one day Policy Dialogue On Youth Developement/Validation of UNSCR 2250 Domestication Document For Kogi State Organized by Office of the SDG In Partnership with ActionAid/PIBCID
The Special Adviser described recent agitations by youths in the country as one that must be given serious attention, said the policy Dialogue On Youth Developement/Validation of the UNSCR 2250 could not have come at a better time than now.
He pointed out that the involvement of Youths in the several upheaval that was experienced in the country recently speaks volumes, reason why issues aimed at Domestication of UN Policies for youths of the State becomes apt.
He described Programs aimed at developing Youths Policy in the country as one that should not be toyed with, said the theme of the policy Dialogue is in line with the SDG Goals, urged for sincere contributions.
In an overview on the Policy Dialogue On Youth Developement Validation, Friday Ogezi, Senior Program Officer, ACTIONAID, said the policy Dialogue On Youth Developement Validation aims at reducing the involvement of youths in agitations and violent extremism.
The Dialogue On Youth Developement Validation he added would look at the need to have the policy domesticated in the state with its peculiarities, added that it aims at meeting with the SDG Goals
