Following the political crises rocking the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after the conduct of the Governorship primary in Kogi state, the Party on Monday inaugurated a reconciliation committee ahead the forthcoming governorship election.
The runners up in the primary, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris has dragged both the party and the acclaimed winner of the primary Engr. Musa Wada to court to reclaimed his mandate.
The Committee was inaugurated by the State Party Chairman, Engr
Sam Uhuotu at the party state Secretariat in Lokoja.
During the innauguration, the state chairman of the party urged the members to reach out to aggrieved party members following the party’s governorship primaries.
The State Chairman assured that the PDP would win the forthcoming governorship election with a landslide victory, said the fallout of the primaries was expected but is still manageable.
Engr. Sam described the APC as a party meant to inflict sufferings on Kogi people, assured that the PDP is coming with a new lease of life for Kogi people.
Chief Patrick Adaba former Deputy Governor of Kogi state is the Chairman of the reconciliation committee, promised that with the calibre of people in his committee they will not disappoint the party in reconciling the aggrieved members.
Meanwhile, the party has appointed
Hon Tajudeen J Yusuf as PDP Director General Campaign for the Kogi State Governorship election.
Hon Yusuf is a three term member of the House of Representative, is to drive the PDP governorship election as Director General for Engr. Musa Wada campaign organisation.
