National Assembly Service Commission NASC, has advocated wholistic independence of the state Houses of Assembly Service Commission,so as to guarantee seamless working relationship and deepen democratic practice.
In the same vein, Chairman National Assembly Service Commission NASC,Engr Ahmed Kadi Amshi FNSE appeal to Kano state and other states of federation to set up the state Houses of Assembly Service Commission, to ensure a virile democratic norms.
Kadi dropped this hint at the ongoing two days workshop for members of the Yobe State House Of Assembly Service Commission in Abuja.
The Chairman expressed shock that Kano state as one of the states with high political awareness and practice is yet to put in place a Commission,pleading with the state government to act without further delay.
‘Aside Kano state,am aware that about five or six states are yet to set up the Commission out of 36 States in the country’
‘The Commission will continue to sensitise the remaining states on the urgent need to put in place the Commission,while efforts will be geared towards orientation and synergy between NASC and the state Houses of Assembly Service Commission’ The Chairman said.
Engr Ahmed Kadi says the beauty of democracy will be further practicalised if the commission is in place and allowed to function optimally according to the Constitution.
He says the National Assembly Service Commission NASC, enjoys full autonomy and independent of it’s decisions, without any interference from any angle.
