Women in Kwara State numbering about 100 on Monday held a special prayer for the actualisation of the ambition of a national chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Malam Salihu Mustapha.
The women who are beneficiaries of Mustapha’s empowerment schemes prayed God to ensure the emergence of the Kwara- born politician as the next national chairman of the ruling APC.
The prayer session which was held in compliance with the COVID-19 safety protocols took place at the secretariat of Salihu Mustapha Foundation, Fate area, Ilorin.
The leader of the women group, Alhaja Silifat Ajibola Adeboye said they organised the prayer session in appreciation of Mustapha’s contributions to their welfare.
” We organised this prayer to ask God to please ensure that Malam Salihu Mustapha emerges the next national chairman of the APC.
” Despite the fact that Malam Mustapha is not occupying any public office either at the state or national level, he has helped the women a lot through his numerous empowerment schemes,” Adeboye stated.
Sheikh Sulaiman Thanni who led the prayer acknowledged Mustapha’s passion for human development.
He prayed God to make the politician’s ambition realisable, noting that:” If Malam Mustapha becomes APC national chairman, he will do more in alleviating poverty in the society.”
