Kogi State Releases Calendar For 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 Sessions

Second Term begins Sept. 14, Third Term Sept. 28, First Term 2020/2021 Begins 7 December
The KOGI STATE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY has released a
MODIFIED SCHOOL CALENDAR
FOR 2019/2020 AND 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSIONS
According to the calendar 2ND TERM 2019/2020 would last for Two weeks to be used to complete the 2nd Term Academic Calendar from 14th-25th September, 2020.
The 3RD TERM 2019/2020: would last for 10 WEEKS begining from 28th September – 4th December, 2020
1ST TERM 2020/2021: 10 WEEKS
7th December, 2020 – 26th February, 2021 (Break between 18th December, 2020 and 3rd January, 2021.
2ND TERM 2020/2021: 11 WEEKS
8th March – 21 May, 2021
3RD TERM 2020/2021: 12 WEEKS
31 May- 20th August, 2021
The session ends on 20th August, 2021.
All National Public holidays are to be observed but there
shall be no mid-term breaks.
Note:
In view of the peculiar situation, school closing time has been extended as follows:
Secondary schools are to close at 4pm
(2) Primary schools are to close at 2pm
All Public and Private Schools are to strictly comply with the new
directive.
