Former Commissioner of education and the traditional ruler of Enmonoja ogugu in olamaboro Local government area of Kogi State, HRH Chief James Ayegba Akor (JP) is dead
According to a family statement made available to newsmen in lokoja, Chief Akor died recently after a brief illness.
Born on 21st January 1961 in Ogbofe Ogugu in Olamaboro Local government area of the State, the traditional ruler was a renowned educationist
He was elected as a Councillor in Ankpa local government, of the then old Benue State between 1987-1989 and became the pioneer Executive Chairman of Olamaboro local government Kogi State between1991-1993).
Chief Akor was later appointed as Commissioner of Education between 2003-2005 by the then governor Ibrahim Idris.
He held the chieftency title of Ochinawata1 of Essodo Enugu Ezike, Enugu state before he was appointed a traditional ruler of Aidokoanya odari Enmonoja Ogugu of kogi state.
He was also appointed World Ambassador of Peace in 2013
According to the statement, the monarch Burial rites will take place between10th-11th September 2020 at his residence in ogugu odo Japan along Adumu Road in Olamaboro Local government area of the State.
He is Survived with four wives and Sixteen Children.
