

The Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency says as much as it is working to achieve its mandate to uplift the poor living in rural communities, promise not to however compromise on standard.
Mallam Momoh Dauda, the General Manager of Kogi State CSDA stated this at a Training organized for group project management committees on Community and group project management held in Kabba, Kabba Bunu LGA today.
Mall. Dauda maintained that the agency is ready to assist poor communities with funds to execute projects that have direct bearing on the lives of their people, said the agency is challenged by availability of funds waiting to be sourced, yet the people are not available to access the funds.
The General Manager maintained that the agency would continue to empower the people and rural communities in the state, however says it will not force project on any community, says communities should decide on projects, but be rest assured of the support of CSDA.
The General Manager urged the trainees to take the training with the seriousness it deserves, pointing out that funds disbursement would begin for the projects implementation in two weeks time.
He urged the trainees to make transparency and sincerity cardinal in project implementation, urged for integrity in project execution and management.
The training he noted is to avail the group project management communities the opportunities in understanding the technicalities in implementing projects in their communities, congratulated the communities for been among those selected in the state.
He equally commended the state for been amongst thirty States in the country that has keyed into the world bank projects, said to whom much is given, it demands that more transparency in project management must be put in place.
Declaring the training open, the Board Chairman of CSDA, Mr. Raphael Okomoda, said the community should ensure that projects to be embarked upon are community driven and have direct bearings on the lives of the people.
He urged the members to be open to criticism when implementing projects in their communities, urged them to be focus, goal oriented in seeing to the completion of projects initiated, this he added would enable them enjoy timely completion and attraction of more projects using the CSDA as a veritable partner.
