As humanity bids the year 2021 farewell and heralds a new year 2022, we present to the general public our latest publication, KOGI AT 30, a timeless compendium and a classic addition to the existing literature on Kogi State.
In December 2020, an assemblage of professionals of Kogi stock comprising senior journalists and academicians with me as the arrow-head took the challenge to chronicle the 30 years of corporate existence of Kogi State. The intention was to put in proper perspective issues that surround the creation of the State; leadership and governance, development in strategic sectors, potential and missed opportunities in the Confluence State.
Between then and August 27, 2021, we dug into the archive and beamed our searchlight on the real story behind the creation of the State. We examined the vision and style of the State leadership from the humble start of DANLADI ZAKARI, the first military administrator to the reign of ALHAJI YAHAYA BELLO, the incumbent and sixth chief executive officer of the State. Our team took stock of the investment opportunities in the State and the quantum of human capital available for all-round development.
We also periscoped the activities of the other two arms of government, the legislature and judiciary, in the last 30 years in terms of its performance and outcome.
Our findings are captured in the timeless 320-page compendium tagged The Making of A State, which goes into circulation nationwide from the first week of January 2022.
The publication is a collector’s item, a navigational compass for present and future leadership of the State, a reference material for discerning investors, present and future generation of Kogi State indigenes, researchers, scholars, and policy makers in general.
Copies of the compendium are obtainable through specific placement order to the Publisher at industrialleaders@yahoo.com or on GSM 09024921264 and 09035888331.
Wishing you a prosperous and productive new year .
