Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja has adjourned till 2nd of March 2022, the case between a private Firm, Ce Triple F Global and the Kogi State House of Assembly over alleged 15, 780,920 million naira contract indebtedness against the state Assembly.
Ce Triple F Global Services Limited, who had last year dragged the Kogi State House of Assembly before the State High Court in Lokoja prayed the state prayed the court to compel the state Assembly to pay N15,780, 920 contract debt to the company.
The state Assembly in October 2016, was said to have contracted the private firm to supply 43 LG TVs, Central Stabilizers, 185ltr Thermocool Fridge, 195Ltr Thermocool Fridge and 36000 BTU Royal Floor Air Conditioner.
The complainer, who is equally the Chief Executive Officer of Ce Triple F Global Services Limited, Engr. Chris Edime said items were supplied to the Assembly during the era of the former Speaker, Alfa Umar Imam when the current Speaker, Prince Mathew Kolawole, was the Majority Leader and the current Majority Leader, Abdullahi Bello was Minority Leader.
The Chief executive officer of the company, Engr. Chris Edime, during cross-examination by his Counsel, Barr. Samuel Ichado Akoji submitted evidence of the contract documents and eventually, they admitted it into evidence by the court.
The trial Judge, Justice JJ Majebi, therefore adjourned the case to the 2nd of March 2022, for further cross-examination by the Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Oluwafemi Adebgoyega from the state ministry of Justice.
Speaking to Journalists, shortly after the trial, the Chief, Executive of Ce Triple F Global Services Limited, Engr. Chris Edime, said the company has exhausted every means of negotiations with the Assembly to ensure that the debt is paid to the company.
“We have tried every opportunity, to make the Assembly see reasons but all our efforts went in vain and that’s why we are in Court.
It would be recalled that the company who supplied these air conditioners and other Britcool Nigeria Limited, has equally dragged Ce Triple Global Services Limited to court for failure to pay the money for the supplied items.
