THE Kogi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has rejected the disqualification of Barr. Natasha Akpoti, the SDP governorship candidate from contesting the forthcoming election.
The party in a statement signed by Bode Ogunmola said INEC has no powers disqualifying her from contesting the Kogi Governorship election.
It described as injustice, unfair and a total act of having to clear people of the same age to contest at the last election. warned INEC not to do anything that will make the whole exercise be a futility by using the exclusion of any party to nullify PDP victory come 16th November.
INEC has no constitutional rights to disqualify candidate but that of the exclusive right of the court. The PDP therefore call on INEC National Chairman to do the needful and allow Natasha Akpoti participate in the election.
The party call on INEC to be an unbiased umpire by conducting a free and fair elections in Kogi state adding that the signals are already clear that INEC is beginning to rig the forthcoming polo
