Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, on Friday donated ₦10 million at the public presentation of a memoir authored by Hon. Duro Meseko to commemorate his 60th birthday.

The book, titled Durosinmi Meseko: An Odyssey through the Media, Activism and Leadership, was unveiled during a colourful ceremony in Abuja attended by top political figures, traditional rulers, government officials and associates of the celebrant from across the country.

Speaking as the Special Guest of the occasion, Senator Karimi described Meseko as a trusted friend and brother, noting that the memoir offers valuable insights into leadership, political engagement and public service.

He commended the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for his enduring contributions to the party and national development, expressing confidence that the book would inspire young politicians, public servants and future leaders.

The memoir chronicles Meseko’s journey through journalism, political activism and party administration, while highlighting his experiences and perspectives on nation-building. Meseko currently serves as Chairman of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI).

In his remarks, Meseko appreciated Senator Karimi and other donors for their generous support towards the book project and pledged to remain committed to promoting constructive public discourse and national development.

The event attracted several prominent personalities, including Deputy Senate President Senator Jibrin Barau; Ondo State Deputy Governor, who represented Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa; a representative of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Mohammed Halims; a representative of the Yobe State Governor; Hon. Leke Abejide; Comptroller General Olumode Adeyemi; the Elulu of Mopa, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun; the Obaro of Odo-Ape, Oba Elijah Meseko; former Kogi State Deputy Governor, Architect Yomi Awoniyi; former Senator Dino Melaye; Hon. T.J. Yusuf, among other dignitaries.

The ceremony concluded with goodwill messages and tributes celebrating Meseko’s contributions to politics, leadership and national service.
