The people of Iyara community in Ijumu local government council in Kogi state have build and donated a block of administrative office to community secondary school in Iyara.
The National Chairman of Iyara Develolment Association, Aliyu Badaki made this known during this year Iyara Cultural Day.
He noted that they were able to embarked on various projects from the proceeds they realised during 2021 Iyara Day.
According to him, some projects barked upon in the past year I use water, building and renovation of classroom blocks, installation of Street lights, building of transport parks, police posts and health care.
He stressed that 2022 Iyara Cultural Day has been specifically organised to launch a One hundred million naira for education and water develolment fund for the purpose of rehabilitation, reconstruction and equipping of education and water facilities.
“We urged our eminent guests to donate generously towards the fund in cash or through facilitation of projects towards the develolment of our dear community,”.
The principal of the community secondary school, Mrs. Felicia Badagi thanked Iyara Develolment Association for building administrative block for the school.
She said that the school is still lacking in the area of laboratory, classes and Library as he appeal to other meaningful persons from the community to come to the aid of the school.
During the launching over N5 million naira was realised.
