Sheik Jibrin made this statement to mark this year’s international Youth Day(IYD) for 2021.
He opined that the best practice for sane democratic norms as we approach 2023 election is to shun violence in all shapes, and embrace a well cultured democratic norms.
The party leader said the quest for youths as leaders is not only for today only but tommorow, saying to live by their words, they must strive to desist from the use of force through thuggery and violence activities.
“Violence and political thuggery, especially involving youths has become the trademark of most elections at all levels in Nigeria since the return of democracy in 1999.”
“As the 2023 elections draw near, it is pertinent for families to educate their young ones and youths on the need to shun violence and avoid being used as thugs, especially as most politicians who might engage them have safely kept their own children in foreign countries to get quality education.”
Therefore, politicians are also expected to demonstrate the spirit of sportsmanship,as no political contest that will not produce both winners and loosers.

“Young people aren’t the leaders of tomorrow. They are the leaders of today and tomorrow, parents should advise their children that election is not a do-or-die affairs, youth should avoid being used by politicians, whoever God wants to rule will definitely rule.”
“The candidates should also learn to accept defeat because power comes from the Almighty God.
Whoever God has chosen to be there must be there. Let us not kill ourselves for one another.”
“I urge you the youth to demand to know the programmes and policies spelt out in the politicians manifestos that were targeted at youth development.”
“On this occasion of International Youth Day, promise yourself to become a responsible youth, to work for the development and brighter future of this country.
May you always shine brights.”
