Elder statesman and former Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ibrahim Idris has commiserated with current Governor Yahaya Bello and his family over the demise of his mother Hajia Hawawu Bello. The matriarch of the family passed on Sunday evening in Abuja. Governor Bello in a statement announcing the passage said she was aged 101 years.
Idris in a condolence message by his media office noted that the life of every human being is in the hands of God and he can demand for it at any time. He said the Governor and his family should be consoled that mama lived up to old age.
“Death is an act of God and a debt everyone must pay. I pray that God will grant Mama Aljanah Fridaus and the family she left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.”
Also the former acting governor of Kogi State, Clarence Olafemi has urged the family to take the death in good fate.
‘On behalf of myself and my family we express our sincere sympathy to Your Excellency and the entire Pa Bello Ipemida Ochi family about the passing of your beloved mother.
”It is never easy to lose a loved one, and it is especially difficult to lose a mother irrespective of age. No matter how old we get, we still need our mothers.
”Your Excellency sir, we know how much your departed mother meant to you; she was an inspiration to many and she would be dearly missed. Even though she has passed to the other side, we truly believe that she will continue to watch over her beloved son.
The Speaker, Prince Matthew Kolawole, said he received with sadness the news of the shocking and sudden demise of Hajia Hauwau Oziohu Bello, mother of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Executive Governor of Kogi State after a brief illness.
He described her death at this time as a great loss not only to the Bello family but the entire state as her words of wisdom and support will be greatly missed.
He said Hajia Hauwau Oziohu Bello was a virtuous woman whose through her commitment and hardworks was able to nutured and bring up a son like His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, whose contributions has reshaped the political landscape of the state.
He charged her entire family members to uphold the legacy of her hardworks, tolerance and perseverance as the vacuum created by her demise with be hard to fill.
On behalf of the entire members of the 7th Assembly, management and staff of the Kogi State House of Assembly wish to commiserate with the family of Hajia Hauwau Oziohu Bello over her death which occurred this evening at the age of 101.
He prayed that God will grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
The working journalists in Kogi state have condoled with Governor Yahaya Bello and the entire Ochi family on the demise of the matriarch of the family, Hajia Hauwau Bello.
A statement by the Union signed by the chairman Adeiza Momohjimoh and Secretary, Ademu Seidu described the death of mama as a big loss to her immediate family and entire Agassa and Nagazi communities where she served as a rallying point for many people.
The statement said the philanthropic gesture of Hajia Hauwau to the less privileged in the various communities of Ebiraland will be greatly missed.
According to the statement, the beautiful memory of late Hajia Hauwau will continue to linger on for a long time.

A businessman and aspirant for the Yagba West Local Government Area Chairmanship position, David Ibitayo Lanlege has said the death of Hajiya Hawawu Bello is painful and a big loss not only to her immediate family but the entire nation.
Lanlege, a notable hopeful under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, made this known in a condolence message he sent to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello over the death of his mother. Her passage occurred Sunday evening in Abuja after a brief illness. She was aged 101 according to family sources.
Lanlege said that although Hajiya Hawawu died at a remarkable old age, she was not too old to live. He described her death at this time as unexpected.
“Mama has lived to old age and has lived a good life. We all console ourselves with the knowledge that no one can question God, the owner of life. I wish her a peaceful repose of her soul and the family the needed fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.” Lanlege said.
A frontline politician from Omala local government area in Kogi state, Hon. Matthew Ochada (HMO) has commiserated with the governor of Kogi state, Alh. Yahaya Bello over the demise of his beloved mother, Hajia Hawa Oziohu Bello.
He described the transition of the Matriarch as “a great loss, given to her invaluable life spent worthy of emulation, which has boldly reflected in the life of His Excellency.”
“Undoubtedly, her exit has created an irreplaceable vacuum in the family and in the lives of those she impacted. Nonetheless, our collective sense of fulfilment lies in the comfort of Mama’s hard work, high moral standards, discipline as well as consistent prayers for her children. Mama left an indelible mark. While appreciating God’s benevolence of grace of age on Mama, my prayers are with His Excellency and the entire family during this period of grief and personal loss of their beloved mother”, Hon. Ochada said.
He prayed God to forgive the deceased her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest in the bossom of the Almighty.
The chairman of the kogi state chapter of Social Democratic party, (SDP), Alhaji Mouktar Atimah has Commiserated with the Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, over the death of his mother.
The Chairman described the death of Hajia Hawawu as a great loss not only to her immediate family but the entire state.
He noted that Late Hajia Hawawu lived a fulfilled life and left behind worthy legacies which he said has continue to reflect in the lives of her children, particularly that of the Governor of Kogi state.
“No doubt Mama has left a vacuum that would be difficult to fill. But our consolation is that she lived a Worthy life that is worth emulating
“I prayed Allah to give His Excellency and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
