The newly elected Kogi State Chairman of National Automobile Technical Association, Engr. Danladi Omar ( Sunny ), has called on the government to quickly establish a mechanic village as an effective measure towards improving the sanitary condition of the state.
Engr. Danladi made the appeal in a chat with newsman shortly after he emerge as the new Kogi state chairman of NATA in a keenly contested election, described the election as keenly contested.
Engr. Danladi defeated his closest rival and immediate past Chairman, Comr. Adebayo Jimoh by 53 to 50 votes, described the election as a no victor no vanquished election, says he and his co contestant are winners.
Engr. Danladi called on the loser to join hands with him in moving NATA Kogi state to greater heights, insisting that if the mechanic village is in place, it would help make the state clean by clearing off broken down vehicles off the road, adding that all the eyesore associated with mechanic workshops will be a thing of the past.
The new Chairman described the election as free and fair, thanked delegates for reposing their confidence on him, promised to justify their trust by running an all inclusive administration, with the welfare of the people Paramount.
While noting that he would seek and build on the experience of the former Chairman in moving NATA to the next level, says he will run a transparent, administration that would take members to the next level of wellbeing and professionalism.
He promised to remain the servant leader of NATA members in the state, thanked the administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello for the support to NATA, says he will continue to partner the government for more development, sought for more assistance from the present administration towards improving the welfare of members.
Engr. Danladi says NATA will partner the state government in their programs and activities, urged members to be law abiding before, during and after the forthcoming governorship election.
While promising to instill discipline in the conduct of the professional members, Engr. Danladi says under his leadership, customers and car owners will be king, and get value for money.
Engr. Danladi particularly praised the Chief of Staff to Kogi state governor, Edward Onoja for his fatherly role and love for NATA in the state, described him as a pillar of the association, said his good gestures for the body would be reciprocated in the days to come.
Engr. Danladi thanked the entire body of NATA in the National, praised the National President, Alh. Mohammed Mogaji, the elders, electoral panel, and the members of NATA in the state for a peaceful transition, assured that his administration will witness a new dawn.
