The Ohinoyi of Ebira land, King (Dr.) Ado Ibrahim, has described Dr. Abdulrahaman Musa Adeiza, the outgoing President-General of Ebira People’s Association (EPA), as a man of wit and huge mental agility who has deployed his vast experience, managerial tact and reaches to reposition EPA for the general good of Ebira.
The paramount ruler who is also the Acting President, Kogi State Traditional Council, made this known during the presentation of the newly elected National Executive Council (NEC) of EPA to him (Ohinoyi) at the by the outgoing leadership of the umbrella socio-cultural body of Ebira people led by Dr. Abdulrahaman.
Recall that EPA 2021 electioneering which almost lasted for two months was brought to an end earlier today after the keenly contested election saw Dr. Godwin Oyibo emerged President-General elect.
Dr. Oyibo coasted home to victory after polling 154 votes to defeat his opponent, Barr. Talib Raji who scored 9 votes.
While congratulating the incoming leadership, the Ohinoyi, in his commanding oratory, commended Dr. Adeiza-led leadership for the success of the transition exercise.
The Ohinoyi took time to reel out Adeiza’s achievements most of which he said were never trumpeted for the public. In the Ohinoyi’s voice, “Dr. Adeiza and his team have made indelible landmarks in the sand of time in terms of steering EPA”, charging the incoming PG to sustain the tempo by ensuring that EPA is left better than he meets it.
While assuring the incoming executive council of his continued support and fatherly guidance, the Ohinoyi further charged the PG-elect thus: “I do not expect your leadership to abuse what Adeiza disabuses”.
The monarch deplored further, the proliferation of organizations in Ebira land and urged the President-Elect to strengthen the ‘umbrella status’ of EPA as visibly demonstrated by the out-going President.
On behalf of the newly elected executive members, the PG-elect, Dr Godwin Oyibo, assured His Royal Majesty and indeed, entire Executives, of his preparedness to further Ebira cause from wherever his would-be predecessor leaves it.
The PG-elect further used the opportunity to solicit the support of all Anebira and friends of Ebira for the tasks ahead.
