Crisis rocks APC in Yagba over 2023 Senatorial election.

Following the replacement of Senior Special Assistant on Security of Yagba East and West respectively by Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the party is in a serious crisis over 2023 Senatorial election.
It was reliably gathered that a top politician from Yagba axis influence the decision of the governor.
Sources close to some top politicians from Yagba confirmed to our reporter that the power play presently going on there is as a result of 2023 Senatorial election.
They alleged that the Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic planning, Hon. Asiwaju Asiru Idris is interested in contesting 2023 Senatorial election in Kogi west.
According to the source, the commissioner who failed to deliver his constituency during Governorship election is already putting up his structures across Yagba and other axis in Kogi west in order to achieve his dream come 2023.
Although, the commissioner had in several occasions denied of contesting, however, some stakeholders from Yagba said the commission is very serious to contest in 2023.
“What Asiwaju is presently working on is to see how he can build his own political structures across Yagba including Ijumu, Kabba/Bunu axis so that come 2023 he must have then stabilise for the party primary,” they alleged
“We called on the governor to look into the present crisis in Yagba axis so that when the time comes in 2023, we can deliver Kogi west to the All Progressive Congress (APC), they pleaded.
